Terms of Service
Last updated: September 1, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of dogtools.online (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Description of the Service
DogTools provides free, browser-based developer utilities (HTTP header analysis, JWT decoding and validation, regular expression testing and explanation, CIDR/subnet calculation, MIME type lookup, Base64 batch encoding/decoding, and WCAG color contrast checking). All tool computations run locally in the user's browser. The Service also publishes educational articles.
2. Acceptable use
- You may use the tools for lawful personal, educational and commercial purposes.
- You may not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
- You may not use the Service to develop or operate a substantially similar competing website that repackages our content without attribution.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process any data you enter — although data entered into tools stays in your browser.
3. No professional advice
The information and tool results provided by the Service are for general informational and debugging purposes. They are not security, legal, networking or accessibility certification advice. Always validate critical configurations (firewalls, CORS policies, authentication, accessibility compliance) against authoritative documentation and your own testing.
4. Intellectual property
The Service's design, text, layout and original articles are the property of DogTools and are protected by applicable copyright laws. Tool output derived from your own input remains yours. You may quote short excerpts of articles with attribution and a link back to the source page.
5. Third-party links and advertising
The Service may contain links to third-party websites and may display third-party advertisements. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or availability of third-party sites. Your interactions with third parties are solely between you and those parties.
6. Disclaimer of warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that results will be error-free, uninterrupted or secure.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DogTools and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
8. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by general principles of international internet operation. Any disputes shall be resolved in good faith; where applicable, the laws of the operator's jurisdiction apply without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
